We are almost ready to launch into our series on the 6 Principles of building strong community networks – which leads to the protection and prospering of your local community.
Everything we have looked at so far will just be ideas, just knowledge – unless and until they are acted on.
Action requires motivation – what motivates you to act on something?
We are motivated by our mission to protect and prosper local communities - and it’s our passion too - and in the next story we will look at why, and from what, they need protection.
Motivate means to move – to do something, to provide the spark, the impetus. There is one word that gets us moving.
Engage!
Nothing will happen in localsmile, or in your life, business and community life until you engage.
As a Star trek fan (the original series and the recent movies that go back to the original) I did see a few of later series – in which Captain Picard was at the helm.
Once the mission was known, or the situation required emergency action he would spring to his feet and ‘make it so’. It was time to go, or do something – so he gave the order: Engage! ,
Engage can mean to act now, to connect, to ‘contact’ a threat and begin a battle.
To get something out of localsmile you need to engage: get a personal profile and start telling your story, and the same for a business or community organisation – from there you will have the tools to engage with your local networks, ready to practice the 6 principles that will protect and prosper your local community.
